Every Stair Matters – Fundraising Campaign

1. Purpose of the Website
This website is operated in connection with the fundraising campaign “Every Stair Matters”, organized by Rotary Club Lugano-Lago, in cooperation with Rotary Club Nuevo Ibagué (Colombia).
The purpose of the website is to provide information about the campaign and to enable voluntary donations in support of a Rotary project focused on youth education and development in Colombia.
2. Use of Donations
All donations collected through this website and its linked payment platforms are intended exclusively for the fundraising campaign “Every Stair Matters.”
The funds raised will be transferred to and used to support specific components of a Rotary-managed project led by Rotary Club Nuevo Ibagué (Colombia), in particular for educational materials, training resources, equipment, and related project needs.
The campaign contribution does not finance the entire project but represents a dedicated contribution within a larger Rotary initiative.
Rotary Clubs involved commit to using the funds in accordance with Rotary principles, transparency standards, and applicable regulations.
3. Voluntary Donations
All donations are made on a voluntary basis.
Donors are under no obligation to contribute, and no goods or services are provided in exchange for a donation.
Unless otherwise required by law, donations are non-refundable once the payment process has been successfully completed.
4. Sponsorship Levels
Donations may qualify for Gold, Silver, or Bronze sponsorship categories, as described on the website.
If a donation falls within one of these categories, representatives of Rotary Club Lugano-Lago may contact the donor to coordinate sponsorship recognition, visibility, or administrative formalities.
Such contact will be limited to what is necessary for campaign-related purposes.
5. Payment Processing
Payments are processed through third-party payment service providers (e.g. Payrexx, TWINT, credit card providers).
Rotary Club Lugano-Lago does not store or process payment card or account details directly.
All payment transactions are subject to the terms and security standards of the respective payment provider.
6. Data Protection
Personal data provided in connection with a donation or sponsorship (such as name, email address, or company name) will be processed solely for purposes related to this fundraising campaign, including:
• donation processing
• sponsorship administration
• acknowledgements and confirmations
• legally required documentation
Data is handled in accordance with applicable Swiss data protection law, in particular the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP).
For payment transactions, users are redirected to external payment service providers.
Rotary Club Lugano-Lago does not control and is not responsible for the data processing activities of such third-party providers.
Personal data will not be sold or shared by Rotary Club Lugano-Lago, except where required for payment processing or legal compliance.
7. Accuracy of Information
While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the information provided on this website, Rotary Club Lugano-Lago does not guarantee that all content is always fully up to date.
The organizers reserve the right to update or modify website content where necessary.
